4 Curriculum of West Sumatera Silat ( Minangkabau Silek )

The curriculum in the Minangkabau Silek consists of:
  • Langkah: Langkah is the concept and the key of the game Silek is good and right.
  • Buah: Practical Techniques in Silek which is the development of langkah.
  • Isi: The spiritual aspect, the use of force in, if the understanding of the essence of martial arts or taste.
  • Bungo, Pancak or Mancak (Kembangan): Aspects of the martial art for entertainment or performances.
    Silek Bunge is often found on formal occasions. Bunge Silek is a combination between langkah and buah. Silek movements are shown as beautiful and as good as possible and both fighters trying to not hurt each other and are usually accompanied by traditional music. 1.Langkah
Stepping is a basic lesson in Silek. There are some basic movements that will be taught, namely:
